Lynne teaches and consults about personality
type, as measured by the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI).
She works with both individuals and groups. She is able to provide
Continuing Education Units
for the MBTI
Certification Program, a continuing
education program for people who are already qualified to administer
the MBTI.
Lynne’s
first book, Personality Type
in Congregations, explores
the ways the MBTI can be used to help congregations work effectively.
Two of her other books, Embracing Midlife and Beating
Burnout in Congregations, have chapters on personality
type.
In her writing,
teaching and consulting, she has addressed topics such as

- Type and personal growth
- Type and stress/burnout
- Type and teamwork
- Type and spiritual gifts
From 1993 to 1997, Lynne served as the
interest area consultant for the Association
for Psychological Type in the area of religious
and spiritual issues. The association holds an international
conference every two years, and Lynne has presented workshops
and/or symposia at five of the six conferences since 1995. In
2000 and 2001, she served on the faculty of the Center
for Applications of Psychological Type, teaching a course
on type and burnout.
